how to mill trapezoidal part

Oct 02, 2009· First off, it is made from steel (?), hardened and ground on the outside, with aTrapezoidalM14x4mm thread. The other lead screw nuts are all bronze. My reasoning for the steel (assuming unhardened on the ID?) is that a saddle, angle bracket, table, and then work all rests on this nut. It is for the vertical travel on a horizontalmill.
